Engineering Course
Entry level course designed to spark students’ interest in engineering through engaging technological activities. Suitable for elementary and middle school students with interest in modern technologies.
Course Description
Topics
This course consists of the following three week-long subcourses.
2- Introduction to Robotics with Lego Mindstorms EV3: This course teaches the essentials of programming in an engaging environment. Students will build and program EV3 robots like professional robotics engineers. By the end of the course, students will improve their critical, spatial and computational thinking skills, and will be informed about STEM and Computer Science careers.
3- Introduction to Engineering with 3D Printing: This course is designed to teach students engineering with 3D printers. Students will participate in engineering design challenges like professional engineers in the field! They will address a real world problem by designing a solution in a CAD software and manufacture their products by following a cyclical engineering design process. Finally, students will advertise their products by shooting a video commercial of their 3D printed designs.
